RE:	St John Mexican Fiesta

Please place this item on the City Commission agenda for consideration.

St John The Evangelist Catholic Church has submitted a right-of-way permit application for their annual Mexican Fiesta, scheduled for Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23, 2012. They request permission to close Vermont Street from South Park Street to 12 Street adjacent to the church. They also request permission for the possession and consumption of alcohol on Vermont Street from South Park Street to 12^th Street from 5:00 p.m. – midnight on both nights of the event.

ACTION:      Approve a Temporary Use of Public Right-of-Way Permit for the St John Mexican Fiesta, allowing the closure of Vermont Street from South Park Street to 12^th Street on June 22-23, 2012; and approve Ordinance No. 8708, allowing the possession and consumption of alcohol on Vermont St as part of the event.
