HVAC WORK – PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT – #B1202

Please see attached bid tab.

Parks and Recreation requested bids for unit pricing of HVAC work.  This bid is for small jobs and small repairs costing less than $15,000 for the 2012 calendar year and was written so other City departments can utilize the pricing.  The bid was also written to be renewed for four additional years providing prices remain the same, both parties agree and funds are available. 

A&H Air Conditioning and Heating bid higher on the hourly rate for journeyman HVAC Technician than Complete Home Heating and Air Conditioning however, A&H Air Conditioning’s apprentice was less Complete Home Heating’s.  Much of the HVAC work requires a journeyman and an apprentice making A&H Air Conditioning and Heating the least expensive choice for the City.

These projects will come out of many accounts that were approved in the 2012 budgeting process. 

Recommendation Action: 

Award bid for hourly rates for HVAC work for Parks and Recreation Department to A&H Air Conditioning and Heating. (Parks and Recreation accounts)
