CARPENTRY WORK – PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT – #B1206

Parks and Recreation requested bids for unit pricing of carpentry work.  This bid is for small jobs and small repairs costing less than $15,000 for the 2012 calendar year and was written so other City departments can utilize the pricing.  The bid was also written to be renewed for four additional years providing prices remain the same, both parties agree and funds are available. 

The low bid from Romen Construction does not have a license for commercial or industrial work which is required by the City.  The next low bid from BA Green Construction does meet our specifications and our licensing requirements.  Our recommendation is to award the contract to BA Green construction.    

These projects will come out of many accounts that were approved in the 2012 budgeting process. 

Recommendation Action: 

Award bid for hourly rates for carpentry work for Parks and Recreation Department to BA Green Construction Company, Inc. (Parks and Recreation accounts)
