Lawrence, Kansas

WHEREAS:        The Lawrence Association of Neighborhoods (LAN) was created to bring neighborhoods together to work with the City of Lawrence on long range planning issues and daily life issues that affect all neighborhoods and residents of Lawrence, Kansas; and

WHEREAS:       The Lawrence Association of Neighborhoods has been working for 25 years to provide timely feedback to city officials on neighborhood concerns and issues regarding city policies, services, and programs; and

WHEREAS:       The Lawrence Association of Neighborhoods supports individual neighborhoods and works to insure each neighborhood has the support of the community as well as all neighborhoods working together to insure the quality of life vital to Lawrence to continue to grow while maintaining each neighborhood’s unique character;

NOW THEREFORE, I, Aron Cromwell, Mayor of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, along with my fellow City Commissioners, recognize the 25^th Anniversary of the Lawrence Association of Neighborhoods on January 29, 2012.
