8/11/08            Left phone message for Chris Miller.

8/13/08            Spoke to Chris Miller, he said he is working to demo the structure but that it will probably be several weeks at least until it is completed. I requested his insurance information, he refused to give this.

2/10/09            Inspected, the dismantling continues.

3/4/09              Inspected, the dismantling continues. It appears the structure’s interior is completely gutted and the exterior layer of siding has been removed from the west wall.

3/30/09            Inspected, the house has been taken down except the subflooring and plumbing pipes remain. The attached garage and detached garage remain. Also the lot is littered with debris from the demolition.

Staff (Julie) called the property owner, Chris Miller, to advise him of the ongoing complaints with the condition of the property and the debris. He laughed and said he thinks that whoever is complaining is using the city because whoever is complaining doesn’t like him. I told him that this has been going on for over a year. He said we (the city) didn’t issue him a demo permit until August and so a year is exaggerating. (The house burned on 1/27/08 and Mr. Miller did not apply for a demo permit until 6/30/08, the demo permit was issued on 7/31/08.)

4/13/09            Inspected and found no change to the property. Issued a Notice of Violation for debris and blighted structures (both garages).

4/21/09            Inspected and took pictures. Some clean up of the debris has occurred, although the property is still littered with demolition debris.
