In response to a previous question from Commissioner Amyx, per square yard estimates have been provided to compare with parks and recreation concrete sidewalk costs. Please note that the CDBG bids and the Parks and Recreation on-call bids are not entirely comparable, as the dollar value, conditions, time schedules, etc. are completely different for the two contracts. It is reasonable to expect that the unit price for the Parks and Recreation on-call bid would be higher than that of the CDBG sidewalk bid.
Recommendation Action:
Approve bid from R. D. Johnson Excavating for Projects PW0816 in the amount of $235,801.05 provided the contractor can meet the terms established in the contract documents.
