Transit System reroutes during band day parade

(LAWRENCE, KS) - To accommodate the band day parade, Lawrence Transit
System will reroute buses in the downtown area on Saturday, September 14
from 12:30pm until the parade's end.

The parade's route, along Massachusetts Street, will mean that buses
will not be crossing Massachusetts Street.  The reroutes have moved
boarding locations one block east or west of the current boarding
locations.

During the parade, the following boarding locations will be used.
* The south side of 9th Street east of New Hampshire will be the
boarding location for routes 1 and 2.
* The north side of 9th Street east of New Hampshire will be the
boarding location for routes 3, 4, 6 counter-clockwise and 7.
* The north side of 9th Street west of Vermont will be the boarding
location for routes 6 clockwise and 8.

Lawrence Transit System drivers have detailed information for riders and
can assist passengers with using the reroutes.  For more information on
