In Today's News From Lawrence Parks and Recreation For Monday, October 15, 2007

 

1)       Indoor Aquatic Center To Extend Hours When School Is Out

INDOOR AQUATIC CENTER TO EXTEND HOURS WHEN SCHOOL IS OUT

 

LAWRENCE - Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department's Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Dr., will adjust its hours on Friday, Oct. 19, when children who attend Lawrence's public schools have the day off. 

 

The leisure pool, waterslide and diving board areas will be open at 1 p.m. Regular fall aquatic hours are:


Waterslide and Diving Area
Monday - Friday - 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday - 1 to 7:30 p.m.
Sunday - 1 to 5:30 p.m.

Zero Depth and Children's Area
Monday - Friday (Except Wednesdays) - 3:30 - 7:45 p.m.
Wednesdays - 2:30 - 7:45 p.m.
Saturday - 1 to 7:45 p.m.
Sunday - 1 to 5:45 p.m. 

 

Waterslide and diving areas close 30 minutes before the facility closes, and all water areas close 15 minutes prior to closing.
