FUN WITH FOSSILS
LAWRENCE- Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department's Prairie Park Nature
Center, 2730 Harper St., is offering children the opportunity to explore
and understand the mysteries of fossils. 

The nature center's Science Exploration series will feature a study of
fossils in their program Mysteries of Fossils for children ages 7 to 12
years old on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the nature
center. Cost of the program is $5 per child.

Children will be enlightened on how fossils are formed, how to identify
fossils and learn about their modern day counterpart.  Children will
also learn about the rich fossil history of Kansas. Children should be
prepared to go outdoors to search for fossils.

South Park Recreation Center, 1141 Massachusetts St.
