Community in 2006

NATURE CENTER TO BE TRANSFORMED INTO PIRATE HAVEN
LAWRENCE - The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department's Prairie Park
Nature Center, 2730 Harper St., will hold its annual Halloween Open
House, Sunday, Oct. 29, from 1 to 4 p.m.  

There is a $1 fee per person to attend and the event is open to people
of all ages.

This year's Open House will feature a Pirates theme.  Participants are
asked to come in costume. Activities will include navigation exercises,
programs on wildlife and other fun games.
