The City Infrastructure Improvement Projects release has been updated as
follows.

 

CORRECTION:

Work on the Riverfront Parking Garage will close the ramp between the
two levels.  The Rhode Island Street entrance and the New Hampshire
Street entrance will remain open.  Parking will be available on both the
upper and lower levels but traffic will not be allowed between the two
levels on the ramp.

CITY INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
 

(LAWRENCE, Ks) - Work on the New Hampshire Street Parking Garage will
close the ramp to the Rhode Island Street entrance and the New Hampshire
Street entrance.  Parking will available on both the upper and lower
levels but traffic will not be allowed between the two levels on the
ramp.

 

On going city infrastructure improvement projects for the week of Oct.
23 include:
 
Project: Kasold bridge over KTA
Traffic impact:
Kasold, north of Peterson Road, closed to through traffic
 
Project: Kasold Drive reconstruction
Traffic impact:
Kasold Drive, Bob Billings Parkway to W 22nd Street, one lane traffic
each direction
Kasold Drive, at 22nd Street, left turns prohibited for both northbound
and southbound traffic
Kasold Drive, intersections with all side streets, closed from Bob
Billings Parkway to W 22nd Terrace
 
City street crews

Bob Billings Parkway at Research Park Drive, project complete

W. Eighth Street at Chouteau Court, traffic restricted during work day

W. 30th Street at Gill Avenue., traffic restricted during work day

 
Project: New Hampshire and Seventh Street intersection rebuild, project
complete
No traffic impact.

 

Project: sanitary sewer pump stations in North Lawrence

Traffic impact:  as work progresses, these impacts may occur

North Street, residence and business access will be maintained

Grant Street, residence and business access will be maintained

Walnut Street, residence and business access will be maintained

 

Riverfront Parking Garage at Sixth and New Hampshire

Ramp between upper and lower level closed

 

Sidewalk repairs

Wakarusa Drive, north of Sixth Street, portions unavailable during
project

W. Seventh Street at Chouteau Court, project complete

 

Project: Waterline installation

Fair Lane, west of Maple Lane, parking restricted and local traffic
maintained

Wedgewood Drive, 15th Street to Random Road, parking restricted and
local traffic maintained
