Road work scheduled for Ninth Street; T will reroute
 

(LAWRENCE, Ks) - Weather permitting, city crews will begin repairs on
Ninth Street in the 1600 block, just west of Emery Road on Wednesday.
Work will close the westbound lanes of Ninth Street, detouring traffic
north on Michigan Street to Sixth Street.  During portions of the work,
eastbound lanes will be closed to through traffic.  Detours will be
posted.

 

Lane closures will be in place through Friday.  If weather prevents
work, crews will shift lane closures to the end of the week and early
next week.

 

While the lanes are closed, the "T" will reroute Route 6 Clockwise and
Route 6 Counter-Clockwise.  Passengers wishing to catch the bus on Ninth
Street between Maine and Iowa will need to move to Ninth Street east of
Maine or to Iowa south of Ninth Street.
