LAWRENCE PARKS AND RECREATION NIGHT AT CICI'S PIZZA
LAWRENCE-Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with
CiCi's Pizza, 23rd and Iowa Sts., to have Lawrence Parks and Recreation
Night, Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. 

Join Parks and Recreation for a night of fun at CiC's Pizza and help out
Parks and Recreation's Wee Folks Scholarship Fund. Ten percent of all
sales that night will go towards the scholarship program.

Parks and Recreation annually awards over $15,000 in scholarships
through the Wee Folks Scholarship Fund, which provides youth of Lawrence
the opportunity to participate in the department's activities and
programs.

A flyer advertising the event can be found online at www.lprd.org. Those
who bring the flyer with them on Nov. 12 will receive a free drink.

INDOOR AQUATIC CENTER TO HOST MEET; ALTER PUBLIC SWIM HOURS
LAWRENCE-Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department's Indoor Aquatic
Center's will be adjusting its hours of public swimming Friday through
Sunday, Nov. 10 - 12, due to the Lawrence IMX Challenge hosted by the
Aqua Hawks.

Regular pool hours will be kept on Friday, Nov. 10, with the exception
the diving area being closed. 

On Saturday, Nov. 11 and Sunday, Nov. 12, the competition pool, warm
water lap swim and diving boards will be unavailable during their normal
times. However, the leisure pool and water slide times will remain the
same during the weekend.

Additional lap swimming hours will be made available at the Carl Knox
Natatorium, 1901 Louisiana St. The Natatorium will be open from 9 a.m.
to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday,
Nov. 12. The Natatorium will remain closed on Friday, Nov. 10.

There is no admission being charged for the swim meet, so the public is
invited to attend and support Lawrence swimmers competing in the meet.
