National representative to meet with Community Commission on
Homelessness

 

(Lawrence, Ks) - The Community Commission on Homelessness invites the
community to a special meeting to hear from Michael Stoops of the
National Coalition for the Homeless regarding his thoughts and
suggestions for addressing homelessness in Lawrence.  Stoops will speak
on November 9 from 9a.m. to10:30 in the Lawrence Public Library
Auditorium. 

 

As a national representative, Stoops has knowledge and expertise
regarding model programs, funding sources, and policy matters related to
community strategies to alleviate homelessness. The CCH has asked Stoops
to review and comment on the Task Force on Homeless Services Final Plan
and Recommendations and to make recommendations for implementation.
