CITY INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
 

(LAWRENCE, Ks) - To allow contractors more working space on the Kasold
Drive project, north of Peterson Road, Tillerman Road at Kasold Drive
will close next week.  Residents should use Eagle Pass to enter the
neighborhood.  The following detour remains in place for traffic going
west of Kasold Drive and north of Peterson Road, use Huntington Road to
Grand Vista.  For traffic going east of Kasold Drive use Huntington.

 

Next week, the New Hampshire Street entrance to Riverfront Parking
Garage will close.  Garage traffic should use the Rhode Island Street
entrance or the entrance west of the garage off New Hampshire Street.

 

On going city infrastructure improvement projects for the weeks of Jan.
2 include:
 
Project: Kasold bridge over KTA
Traffic impact:
Kasold, north of Peterson Road, closed to through traffic
 
Project: Kasold Drive reconstruction
Traffic impact:
Kasold Drive, Bob Billings Parkway to W 22nd Street, one lane traffic
each direction
22nd Street east of Kasold Drive, right turns permitted, left turn
prohibited
Kasold Drive, intersections with all side streets, closed from Bob
Billings Parkway to W 22nd Terrace
 

Project: sanitary sewer pump stations in North Lawrence

Traffic impact:  as work progresses, these impacts may occur

North Street, residence and business access will be maintained

Grant Street, residence and business access will be maintained

Walnut Street, residence and business access will be maintained

 

Riverfront parking garage at Sixth and New Hampshire

Ramp between upper and lower level open

New Hampshire Street entrance closed

 

Project: Kasold Drive reconstruction north of Peterson

Kasold Drive, Peterson Road to the KTA Bridge, closed to through traffic

Kasold Drive and intersection with Peterson Road, closed north of
Peterson Road except for traffic to the Calvin Drive-Huntington Road
area
