ARTHRITIS CLASSES AVAILABLE THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS
LAWRENCE -Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department announce two water
fitness classes added for the holiday season.

Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Fitness will be held on Tuesdays and
Thursdays, Jan. 2- Jan. 18, from 8 to 8:45 a.m. at the Indoor Aquatic
Center, 4706 Overland Dr. It offers gentle ranges of motion and
endurance while in warm water under the guidance of trained instructors.
This class is a drop-in session, and requires no pre-registration. Cost
of the class is the daily admission charge for the Indoor Aquatic Center
- $2.50 for individuals ages 13-17 years old, $3.75 for individuals ages
18-59 years old and $2.50 for individuals 60 years old and older.

Jivin' Joints will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Jan 3-19,
from 9:15 to 10:00 a.m. at the Indoor Aquatic Center. This class
provides relief of pain for individuals who suffer from arthritis or a
related condition, through aquatic exercise. The program will help
increase flexibility strength, and endurance. The cost of the class is
$16 per person. 

Individuals can enroll online at www.lprd.org or at any Parks and
Recreation facility. Both classes are for individuals ages 16 and up.
