GIFT CERTIFICATES MAKE GREAT STOCKING STUFFERS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
LAWRENCE -Spread holiday cheer by giving Lawrence Parks and Recreation
Department gift certificates.

Whether as a gift for a special someone or for a stocking stuffer, gift
certificates from Lawrence Parks and Recreation are an ideal gift. Parks
and Recreation has gift certificates for Eagle Bend Golf and Learning
Center, the aquatic centers and for Parks and Recreation classes,
activities and shelter reservations.

Gift certificates may be purchased at Eagle Bend, 1250 E. 902 Rd., for
rounds of golf, instructional lessons and also merchandise from the pro
shop. Eagle Bend's pro shop offers all of your golf necessities like
golf bags, shoes and shirts, as well as a wide variety of hats and golf
balls.  

Make a splash this holiday by giving a swim pass or a punch card for the
department's aquatic centers. Passes and punch cards are available for
purchase and may be used for any aquatic facility including the Indoor
Aquatic Center, Carl Knox Natatorium and the Outdoor Aquatic Center upon
its reopening in May. Passes may be purchased in 30-day increments for
$16 or as an annual pass for $135 at the Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706
Overland Dr.

Gift certificates for classes, activities and shelter rentals are
available for purchase at South Park Recreation Center, 1141
Massachusetts St., or the Community Building, 115 W. 11th St.

PARKS AND RECREATION TO BE CELEBRATED AT CICI'S PIZZA TOMORROW NIGHT
LAWRENCE-Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will be celebrated at
CiCi's Pizza, 23rd and Iowa Sts., Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 4:30 to 8:30
p.m. 

CiC's Pizza will donate 10 percent of all sales between 4:30 and 8:30
p.m. to the Parks and Recreation's Wee Folks Scholarship Fund. 

Parks and Recreation annually awards over $15,000 in scholarships
through the Wee Folks Scholarship Fund, providing youth of Lawrence the
opportunity to participate in activities and programs.

A flyer advertising the event can be found online at www.lprd.org. Those
bringing the flyer with them will receive a free drink.
