Lawrence Transit System to Host T-Shirt Design Contest

(Lawrence, KS) - Show Your Support and Pride for the "T" by designing the next rider appreciation t-shirt!  Lawrence Transit System is hosting a design contest for our 5th anniversary rider appreciation t-shirt.  This is an opportunity for a citizen's design to be seen community wide.  All citizens are encouraged to participate.

Lawrence Transit System is looking for a dynamic, new design for the 5th anniversary rider appreciation t-shirt.  Designs should illustrate community spirit, pride and benefits of public transportation.  The design should incorporate the existing "T" logo and colors. The winning design will be reproduced on a T-shirt and will be made available to the public.  The first place winner will receive recognition from the Public Transit Advisory Committee, Lawrence Transit System and other prizes.

Entries are due no later than October 31, 2005 to Rachel Cornish, Marketing Coordinator, Lawrence Transit System, 933 New Hampshire, Lawrence, Kansas.  Entries are to be submitted with your name, address, phone number and hard copy of the design.  All entries may be emailed to rcornish at ci.lawrence.ks.us <mailto:rcornish at ci.lawrence.ks.us>  or mailed to T-shirt Contest, Lawrence Transit System, PO Box 708, Lawrence, KS, 66044.

The Lawrence Transit System is celebrating its 5th Anniversary traveling throughout the community to businesses, educational institutions and employment areas.
