The department has developed over 350 programs and activities in which citizens of all ages may participate. Programs and activities range from swim lessons to strength training for seniors, from tiny tots tennis to adult softball.
Spring break camps are also included, as well as new programs that include dance and seasonal arts classes for children.
All program registration is done on a first-come, first-serve basis. Certain classes and programs have minimum or maximum enrollment. Registration is required before the first class. Waiting lists will be formed when programs are filled and every attempt will be made to accommodate people on waiting lists.
Discounts are available for adults over 60 years of age, and the department also has the Wee Folks Scholarship Fund in support of those needing assistance with payment.
