City infrastructure improvement projects

(LAWRENCE, KS) - No new projects are scheduled to begin the week of Nov. 29.

Working days assessed for on going city infrastructure projects are as of
Nov. 20.  On going city infrastructure improvement projects include:

Project:  13th and Oregon Storm water project
210 working days on the contract, project began March 9, 126 working days
assessed and 84 working days remaining
Original estimated completion date:  Feb. 2005, weather permitting
Current traffic impacts:
Pennsylvania, closed 13th Street to 14th Street

13th Street, closed at Oregon

Project: Trail Road sanitary sewer line
40 working days on the contract, work began Nov. 3, 16 working days assessed
and 24 working days remaining
Estimated completion date: Jan. 21
Traffic impact:
Trail Road, Jane Court to Roundabout Circle, occasional lane closures 

Folks Road, north of Trail Road closed during working day to through traffic

Lawrence Transit System does not have any scheduled reroutes during the week
of Nov. 29.
