CELEBRATE A MONTH OF GIVING AT THE INDOOR AQUATIC CENTER
LAWRENCE - Celebrate a Month of Giving with Lawrence Parks and Recreation
Department's Aquatic Division and help out others in the community while
enjoying a swim at the Indoor Aquatic Center, 4709 Overland Drive. 

With a donation of a non-perishable food item or $1 to a local homeless
shelter, patrons will receive a reduced admission rate at the Indoor Aquatic
Center throughout the Month of Giving, which runs through Wednesday, Nov.
24. The reduced admission rates are in effect for all hours that the pools
are open.

By bringing a canned food item or donating $1, patrons will receive
admission to the aquatic center for only $1, which includes access to both
the competitive and family pools.  

Donated food items will benefit the Ballard Center Food Pantry, 708 Elm St.
Monies collected will assist the Lawrence Community Drop-In Center, 214 W.
10th St., which provides services to Lawrence's homeless.

Regular admission rates at the aquatic center are $1.25 for children ages 5
to 12; $2.50 for children ages 13 to 17; $3.75 for adults ages 18 and older
and $2.50 for senior adults (ages 60 and over).

The fall hours of operation are:  

Lap Swimming
Monday through Friday - 5:15 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.
Saturday - 9:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.
Sunday - 1 to 5:45 p.m.

Waterslide and Diving Area
Monday - Friday - 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday - 1 to 7:30 p.m.
Sunday - 1 to 5:30 p.m.

Warm Water Lap Swim will take place daily, Monday through Friday, from 12 to
3 p.m. 

Zero Depth and Children's Area
Monday - Friday (except Wednesday) - 3:30 to 7:45 p.m.
Wednesday - 2:30 to 7:45 p.m.
Saturday - 1 to 7:45 p.m.
Sunday - 1 to 5:45 p.m.
