City infrastructure improvement projects

(LAWRENCE, KS) - Contractors replacing a water line along 19th St. from
Massachusetts St. to Learnard Ave. will occasionally interrupt traffic with
lane closures.  Work should be completed by approximately April 30, weather
permitting.  The replacement will also close one lane of northbound
Massachusetts St. at 19th St. during the workday.

Work on the intersection of 31st St. and Neider Rd. will begin to affect
traffic by reducing one lane of westbound traffic during the workday.

On going City infrastructure improvement projects for the week of March 1
include:

Line installation/cleaning
Moundview Dr., Crestline to Murrow Ct., occasional lane closures, completed
approximately March 11, weather permitting

Concrete repairs
Nicklaus Dr., intermittent lane closures, complete approximately March 25,
weather permitting

Hogan Dr., intermittent lane closures, complete approximately March 25,
weather permitting

Palmer Dr., intermittent lane closures, complete approximately March 25,
weather permitting

Hartford Ave., intermittent lane closures, complete approximately March 25,
weather permitting

Hartford Ct., intermittent lane closures, complete approximately March 25,
weather permitting

Waterford Ave., intermittent lane closures, complete approximately March 25,
weather permitting

Intersection improvements
19th St., closed Rhode Island to Delaware, eastbound traffic detoured to
15th St. and westbound traffic detoured to 23rd St., completed approximately
June 19, weather permitting 

19th St., Massachusetts St. to Learnard Ave., occasional lane closures,
completed by approximately April 30, weather permitting

Massachusetts St., at 19th St., one lane of north bound closed during the
work day, completed by approximately April 30, weather permitting

Barker Ave., closed at 19th St., completed approximately June 19, weather
permitting

31st St. and Nieder Rd., westbound lane reduced during workday

Stormwater projects
Learnard, closed 23rd St. to 19th St, opening approximately March 11,
weather permitting

E. 13th St., closed, Haskell to Oregon, completed August, weather permitting
