City infrastructure improvement projects 

(LAWRENCE, KS) - No new projects are scheduled to begin the week of Dec. 
 20.  

Working days assessed for on going city infrastructure projects are as of
Dec. 11.  On going city infrastructure improvement projects include:

Project:  13th and Oregon Storm water project
233 working days on the contract, project began March 9, 134 working days
assessed and 99 working days remaining
Original estimated completion date:  Feb. 2005, weather permitting

Current traffic impacts:
13th Street, closed Oregon to east of Pennsylvania

Delaware, closed at 13th Street

Project: Trail Road sanitary sewer line
40 working days on the contract, work began Nov. 3, 23 working days assessed
and 13 working days remaining
Estimated completion date: Jan. 21
Current traffic impact:
Trail Road, east of Folks Road, closed during the working day, through
traffic permitted evenings and weekends
