SECOND PUBLIC MEETING FOR FUTURE PARK TO BE HELD MONDAY
LAWRENCE - Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department and the West Lawrence
Neighborhood Association will hold the second public meeting to collect
input for the development of a future park, which will be located north of
15th St. and George Williams Way and east of Langston Hughes Elementary
School.

The second meeting is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 13, at Langston Hughes
Elementary School, 1101 George Williams Way. C.L. Mauer, of Landplan
Engineering, and members of the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department
will be on hand to present preliminary concepts and designs, as well as

The first meeting was held in late November to gather input from the public
about what type of facilities and features they would like to see developed
in the future park. The follow up meeting is to show options and ideas for
the public to consider for the future park and assist in the development of
a master plan for the park.
