Arts Commission Announces 2003 Recipients of Phoenix Awards

(LAWRENCE, KANSAS) -- The Lawrence Arts Commission announces the 2003
recipients of the 8th Annual Phoenix Awards.  The recipients will be
recognized at the Lawrence Arts Center, 947 New Hampshire, at an awards
ceremony on November 2, 2003 at 2p.m.

Lisa Grossman, the artist who created the award trophies, will be present at
the awards ceremony. The ceremony is open to the public. The recipients are
listed below:
