City infrastructure improvement projects
(LAWRENCE, KS) - During the week of October 6, concrete repair will occur on
Kingsmill Road from Foxfire Drive to Burning Tree Court and on Wimbledon
Circle east of Wimbledon Drive to Wimbledon Drive. Traffic interruptions
should be expected.
Also next week, milling, overlay and curb repair will begin on 8th Street
from Kentucky to New Hampshire and on North Iowa from Princeton to Peterson
Road. Traffic interruptions should be expected.
On going City infrastructure improvement projects for the week of October 6
include:
Line installation
Ohio Street, north of Dakota St., completed approximately October 10,
weather permitting
Mill and overlay and curb repair
Emerald Drive, 19th Terr. to 21st St., traffic interruptions
9th Street, Iowa to Rockledge, traffic interruptions
N Iowa, Princeton Avenue to Peterson Road, traffic interruptions
Rockledge, 9th St. to Yale Ave., traffic interruptions
9th St. Terr. to Yale Ave. intersection, traffic interruptions
Steven Drive, Wellington Road to Lawrence Avenue, traffic interruptions
8th St., Kentucky to New Hampshire, traffic interruptions
Kingsmill Rd., Foxfire Dr. to Burning Tree Ct., traffic interruptions
Wimbledon Cir., east of Wimbledon Dr. to Wimbledon Dr., traffic
interruptions
Intersection improvements
6th Street, intersection of Kasold Dr., reduced to one lane in each
direction completed approximately December 31, weather permitting
6th Street, intersection of Comet Ln, westbound traffic reduced to one lane
Frontier Rd, Mesa Way to 6th St., closed to through traffic, completed
approximately December 31, weather permitting
6th St., intersection of Lawrence Ave., westbound traffic reduced to one
lane, completed approximately December 31, weather permitting
Road improvements
15th Street and Research Park Drive, eastbound traffic reduced to one lane
during the day, completed approximately October 30 (date extended), weather
permitting
16th and Wakarusa Drive, southbound traffic reduced to one lane during the
day, completed approximately October 30 (date extended), weather permitting
11th Street, east of Haskell Avenue closed from Haskell Avenue east to the
railroad tracks, completed approximately January 30, 2004, weather
permitting
