City infrastructure improvement projects
(LAWRENCE, KS) - Storm sewer repair, curb repair and mill and overlay work
will begin next week on Clinton Parkway from Crossgate to Wakarusa. Traffic
will be narrowed to one lane in each direction, as needed during
construction. Work should be completed by approximately August 15, weather
permitting.
A second KLINK project will begin on Wednesday, July 23 along 23rd Street
from Learnard to Harper Street. Work will include milling and overlaying
and will require the reduction of traffic to one lane each direction at
times. Work should be completed by August 6, weather permitting.
Work on the storm sewer project along 21st Street has closed Kentucky from
20th Street to 22nd Street.
On going City infrastructure improvement projects for the week of July 21
include:
Storm sewer improvements
21st St., closed, Massachusetts St. to Barker and Massachusetts to Kentucky,
completed approximately August 15, weather permitting
Kentucky, closed, 20th St. to 22nd St.
Vermont, closed from 20th St. to 22nd St.
Rhode Island, 20th St. to 22nd St., closed to through traffic, completed
approximately July 25 (date extended), weather permitting
27th St., Belle Haven to Louisiana, closed until early August, weather
permitting
Road improvements
North Michigan, no through traffic north of the Woodcreek Town homes
entrance to Riverridge Road, completed approximately summer of 2003, weather
permitting
Line installation
Jayhawk Blvd., West Campus Rd. to Sunflower Rd., one-way eastbound
Nebraska St., Vermont to Kansas St., parking restricted, completed by August
15, weather permitting
7th St., New Hampshire to New York, should be completed on July 21, weather
permitting
Curb repair
11th St., West Campus Rd. to Maine St., completed
Mill and overlay and curb repair
Camelback Dr., Tam O'Shanter to Quailcreek Dr., lane restrictions, completed
approximately July 25 (date extended), weather permitting
Camelback Pl., Camelback Dr. to cul-de-sac, lane restrictions, completed
approximately July 25 (date extended), weather permitting
Kasold Dr., Clinton Pkwy to 26th St., lane restrictions, completed
approximately July 25 (date extended), weather permitting
North 3rd St., Industrial Ln. north to the City limits, traffic restricted
to one lane each direction, completed approximately mid-August, weather
permitting
Clinton Parkway, Crossgate to Wakarusa, narrowed to one lane, completed by
approximately August 15, weather permitting
23rd St., Learnard to Harper St., traffic reduced to one lane, completed
approximately August 6, weather permitting
