City infrastructure improvement projects
(LAWRENCE, KS) - Contractors will begin brick repair work on the 1000
block of Ohio on Monday, November 25. The street will be open to local
traffic only and on-street parking will be restricted during
construction. The project should be completed approximately January 10,
weather permitting.
Next week, the Street Division will be sealing cracks on Lawrence Ave.
from 6th St. to Princeton Ave. and on Trail Rd. from Lawrence Ave. to
Folks Rd. Crews will need to close one lane during the process. The
project should be completed approximately November 27, weather
permitting.
City infrastructure improvement projects for the week of November 25:
Milling and overlay
N 3rd, Maiden Ln. to North St., closed, completed approximately December
4, weather permitting
Storm sewer improvements
21st St., closed, Ousdahl Road to east of Naismith, completed
approximately May 2003, weather permitting
19th Terr., 20th St. and 20th Terr., open to local traffic, periodical
closure during work day
Ousdahl, 19th St. to 21st St., closed
21st St., Stewart Ave to Ousdahl, closed
Water line installation
Intersection of 9th and Iowa, traffic interruptions, completed
approximately December 31, weather permitting
W 5th St., California St. west to 1924 W 5th, completed approximately
December 13, weather permitting, local traffic only on W 5th St.
Road improvements
K-10 at East Hills Drive, completed
31st St., Ousdahl Rd. to Iowa St., traffic reduced to one lane each
direction
North Michigan, no through traffic north of the Woodcreek Town homes
entrance to Riverridge Road, completed approximately summer of 2003,
weather permitting
Recreational Path Repair
Clinton Parkway, south side from Kasold Drive to Crossgate Drive and
Iowa St. to Lawrence Ave., path will be closed during construction,
completed approximately December 15, weather permitting
Traffic signal improvements
Clinton Parkway at Lawrence Ave., adding protected left turns, completed
approximately December 31, weather permitting, only temporary traffic
interruptions for brief time spans
Street Repair
Lawrence Ave., 6th St. to Princeton Ave., intermittent lane closures,
completed approximately November 27, weather permitting
Trail Rd., Lawrence Ave. to Folks Rd., intermittent lane closures,
completed approximately November 27, weather permitting
