MEMBERS: Twelve with five appointed by the City of Lawrence and five appointed by the Douglas County Commission, and one member from the City Commission and one member from the County Commission.
MEETINGS: First Wednesday of the month, 12:00 p.m., Lawrence Chamber of Commerce office.
FUNCTION:
Established by Joint City and County Resolution, the Retiree Attraction Task Force shall develop recommendations to the Douglas County Commission and the Lawrence City Commission regarding the issue of retaining and attracting retirees to our community.
The Task Force shall consult with existing providers of services to seniors, including Douglas County Senior Service, Inc., Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging, and the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce Senior Council in their efforts to review the issue of retaining and attracting retirees.
