TERMS:            Permanent positions based upon representation of stakeholder institutions.

MEMBERS:        The Board shall consist of ten members based upon positions in stakeholder institutions within Douglas County.  Those entities represented include City of Lawrence, Douglas County, USD 497, Baker University, Haskell Indian Nations University, University of Kansas, Douglas County Development Inc., ECO2 and the Chamber of Commerce.

MEETINGS:        As needed, at least quarterly, various locations.

 

FUNCTION:

The Board shall have the responsibility to make such recommendations to the City and County as the Board may from time to time determine are in the best interests of the implementation of the Horizon 2020 Economic Development Strategic Plan. The Board shall have other responsibilities and duties as the governing bodies of the City and County may from time to time assign to the Board concerning the economic development of the City and County.
