FUNCTION:

The purpose of this not-for-profit organization is to determine the needs of citizens over 60 years of age and to develop a comprehensive plan of services.  In developing this plan, the Council examines aging programs of local, state, and federal governments.  Positions are filled with appointments selected by the Lawrence City Commission and the Board of County Commissioners.
