Transit System offers e-mail notification
(LAWRENCE, KS) – The Lawrence Transit System has launched a new way to keep riders up-to-date on re-routes. E-routes is an e-mail based notification system that allows site visitors to sign up to receive information on re-routes affecting the fixed route system.
Subscribers will have the opportunity to learn about adjustments to routes as the information is released from the Lawrence Transit System.
“Riders have been very adept at adjusting to re-routes caused by construction or temporary situations,” explains Karin Rexroad, public transit administrator. “The e-routes messages to allow transit to let riders know route changes almost immediately and plan ahead for their trips.”
Individuals can subscribe to the service by visiting www.lawrencetransit.org, and selecting e-routes on the announcements or access the page directly at http://www.lawrenceks.org/subscriptions. E-routes uses list serve software that allows subscribers to interact directly with the program to sign up or be removed from the list serve.
